![]() I mean, strictly speaking, the town is better off with the Community Center rather than Jojamart. And it's not like Pierre has the right to no competition. A clinical, sterilized, heartless part of it, but even it is still staffed by the people who live in the town. But the Community Center didn't fall to ruin because of Joja (as far as I know), it was abandoned by the town, and the player restores it.Īnd the various festivals and celebrations make it clear that Pelican Town still has it's own community and culture. The only harm that comes from a Joja run is no Community Center. But it's not like they destroy Pelican Town apparently (Which is what I was concerned about). I just didn't look at it that way back when I did the vanilla Joja route. Which also ties in a little with what you wrote. It just felt a bit more "empty" somehow in the vanilla game and less "empty" with the expanded mod. I honestly haven't felt I missed out on much when I did the Joja route. His true colors shines through during a particular quest where he tries to scam both the player and his customers! I do like the Joja route better with the expanded mod because well, it expands the route. One time I had a pond full of blobbies (blobfish) who wanted pizza! Couldn't bake my own so had to spend my last cents buying from Gus! Anyway. Then again, the actual fish are not much better when it comes to requests. Not that I mind fishing, but I don't understand why they must have that stupid walleye fish. ![]() Collecting stuff for those cute Junimos is also quite fun! Except for the fish bundles. I mostly go with the CC route! It simply ties in better with most of the characters and farms I have created. CC route for beginners and Joja for seasoned players. That is actually an interesting way of seeing it.
